Its Ok Thursday..

Its Ok Thursdays

ITS OK...

That is has been over a week since I blogged last...I haven't had that great of week because I had to start blood pressure medicine last week.  Not something you want to hear that you need when you are pregnant! (or any time)  But it is under control now yay!

That I have only cooked dinner once this week...thanks to having to work so many nights this week.

That I had to sit with my feet propped up all evening last night...thanks to those nights Ive been working I guess.  My hubby fixed me some warm water and Epsom salt to soak my feet in...it was great!

That I went to register on Sunday at Buy Buy Baby (so exciting and overwhelming!) and I haven't even showed any one the crib we got...

We just got the crib and of course we will have pink instead of blue!

That I am counting down the days until this weekend...cant wait for a long weekend at the lake!

To be sad that Modern Family is over for the season.  Wednesday nights wont be the same!

To be dreading my doctors appointment next week...the lovely 1 hour glucose test!

I think that is it!  Here's to a great weekend! :)

WILW

I'm Loving... that today is mine and Wes's 3rd Anniversary.  It is so hard to believe that we have already been married for three years.  Seems like a few months ago we were sailing off for our cruise for the honeymoon!  I have a small feeling that this year will be our best year yet!!  While I was typing this Wes called and asked where I wanted to go to dinner that he was coming home early tonight!! Yay..going to my favorite place in Greenwood..Capri's :)

I'm Loving...that tomorrow I have a doctors appointment.  I used to dread going to the doctor but now I look forward to it.  Love hearing the heartbeat and really just making sure she is doing ok!

I'm Loving... that we have decided on a name.  OK, we picked this name when I was like 6 weeks pregnant but it is official....

Paige Elizabeth

I'm Loving... we are going to register for baby stuff on Sunday!! We will also be ordering the crib and hopefully and chair for the nursery.  This is all coming together pretty quick!!  So excited.  What is even better is that we can sign up for Buy Buy Baby emails and get 20% off gift certificates.  The lady at the store said that you can use one per item.  So I am going to make Jodi and Mom print one off...hey those savings will add up when buying the big items!

I'm Loving... that Jodi is in Houston (well not that fact that she has to back there but for the fact she gets a check up).  The worst part of her visit, the bone barrow biopsy, is over and now she is just waiting for results.  So say a few prayers that everything turns out perfectly...which I know it will!

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday!!

Weekend Rewind

Little Moments Like This

Hard to believe it is already Monday again!  Wes and I didn't really do much on Friday night, we picked up dinner and watched a movie.  I think I was in bed before 10pm (story of my life these days!)  Then woke up Saturday and was lazy for a little while.  Heather was talking about coming to Greenwood that day and have lunch and shop a little but she told me she was having bad pains on Friday and then I didn't hear from her until like 10 am and of course the worrier I am, I was really getting concerned about her.  I finally heard from her and she had a rough night, which you can read about on her blog.  So needless to say she didn't come that day, which was best for the mom-to-be!  So I sent Wes and text and told him I needed something to do (of course I had a lot to do at the house but I wanted to procrastinate)  So he told me to bring Gracie and meet him out at the farm with our other dog Callie.  We packed up and went to the farm where he was working playing with his tractor.  It was so nice to let Gracie run free for a while...she was in heaven!  Later that afternoon, we drove over to the creek and man did those dogs love that!
I took both dogs home while Wes went to the grocery store to get something to grill for dinner.  He grilled New York Strip, baked potatoes, onions and corn on the cob!  It was so yummy...even better because I didn't have to cook at all!
Wes was on a roll because as I was showering and getting ready on Sunday morning, he was cooking breakfast!  I asked him what the occasion was he said nothing.  So I asked if it was for our anniversary (this Wednesday) or Mother's Day?  So he said it was for both...but it was a Mother's Day in training since I am still pregnant! Haha
We hung out until about lunchtime and he loaded up his 4-wheeler and went to play while I waited for Jodi to get here.  She was coming in town to have Mothers Day dinner and came to play first.  She has started a new hobby which I love!  Look how cute:

These are just a few of the ones she has made so far!  Pretty good for just starting out.  If you would like to see more or how much they are check out her store's Facebook page, The Beaded Tiger
After we finished playing with the bows, we all went to Red Lobster for supper with Mom, Dad and Mema for Mother's Day.  It was so very yummy! I think I would be content with just eating these:
After supper, Wes's mom came over and we gave her her gift and she brought a car load of baby stuff my sister in law sent us.  She has two boys but had a lot of gender neutral stuff that we can use!  We are very lucky to have some great things given to us already!

Overall it was a great weekend! Hope you all had a great one too...make sure to stop by Tami's blog for the Weekend Rewind blog posts!

I love a good deal!

The other day I was looking around on Facebook (of course) and saw that my favorite Children's Boutique in Greenwood was having a big sale to get rid of their Spring and Winter Collection.  Nicole (the owner) designs her clothes and they are oh so cute!  What is even better is that they are actually reasonably priced for smocked clothes.  Usually they are around $60-$80 and I just don't see paying that much for something a baby will wear a couple times before they grow out of it.  Her prices are always less than $40, but right now she is having a deal where the first outfit is $20 if you buy 2 its $35 and if you buy 3 its $50.  So Heather and I started looking at her website to see which ones we wanted!  If you want to check out her website, it is Sweet Teas or you can find it on facebook.
Here is what I found (borrowed these pictures from her website):

Wouldn't this be too cute with tights around Christmas Time??

Love this dress
I know my sister will probably not like this outfit but I couldn't resist!!
Heather also got the yellow cross dress and then these two:

Princess and Castle

Noah's Ark
It was so much fun shopping for little girls yesterday and I just had to share our great deals with you :)

Weekend Rewind

This may be the first time I have ever said this..but I felt like this weekend was really long to only be two days!  I wish I was able to say that more often :)
Friday was a big day!  For starters it was Jodi's birthday but it was also our Relay for Life event.  It was in Pendleton and I got there around 5ish and Jodi and I attended the survivors dinner before Relay started.  It was pretty yummy!  Then it was time to walk!  I walked in the Survivors and Caregivers lap with my family (Jodi and my Mema are survivors and my parents were the caregivers and I guess I can say I was a caregiver since they didn't have organ donors as an option)

My family during the first lap

Once the first lap was over, we had a surprise birthday party at our tent for Jodi.  By the end of the night, Jodi was sang to over the loud speaker, got balloons and cards from people she didn't even know!

My favorite part of the even was of course the Luminary ceremony because Jodi was asked to speak!  She did a great job and of course I teared up just a little bit :)

Jodi and I left around 11:30 so we could get some sleep (but didn't really happen..she got about an hour and I may have gotten 2...not enough for a pregnant girl or post transplant girl that's for sure!)  We set our alarms and made it back to the event by 5:30ish so we could be there for the closing ceremony and pack up our area.  Over all it was a great event and Birthday for Jodi but it really wore us out! :)

What seems like a day later, (but was only a few ours later) Jodi and went downtown Clemson to do a little shopping and then met up with Heather and the Esso for lunch. It was so yummy and it was even better to see my Heth two days in a row! :)

After lunch, I left Clemson and went straight to Lake Greenwood.  I knew if I went by my house first, I wouldn't make it to the lake.  It was a nice relaxing afternoon with  my sweet nephews!  I think I was asleep by 9 Saturday night and woke up at 7 on Sunday!  It was nice to sleep.

Yesterday, Wes and I hung out with his family at the lake all day again.  I love this time of year!!  Look how cute my little guy Matthew is..he was our driver :)
Overall it was a great weekend but I still need to catch up on a little sleep! :)  Hope everyone has a great Monday!!
