My Valentine!

Well since everyone is writing about their valentine, I figured I would write about mine too.  Wes and I don't ever do much for Valentine's Day mainly because we both just had birthdays.  I may be the only girl saying this today, but I never saw the hype to this day.  I would much rather be surprised on a random day with extra love and flowers than we he feels like he has too!  But I also wouldn't turn down flowers today either haha (we did go to dinner last night for a little v-day celebration)

Wes and I met 6 years ago this past January, I knew from the minute I met him that I wanted to be with him and really thought it would last!  The day after I met him, I called my mom to tell her all about him....I usually didn't tell my mom about a boy until we actually dated or hung out for awhile, but I knew there was something special about Wesley.  But Wes had different plans...we dated for a couple months, he broke up with me and we started dating about 5 or 6 months after that.  I am embarrassed to say this cycle least too long.  We were know for dating and breaking up.  Wes just wasn't ready for a serious relationship and I was.  Then in August of 2008, he finally came to his senses and told me that he really really wanted to try out our relationship one more time.  He kept telling me he was serious and wanted to be with me, but he had some proving to do first.  I even kept it a secret from most family and friends because I didn't want the same lecture "he hasn't changed, he will do it again.....".  I knew I would get that lecture because if it was a friend of mine, I would have told them the same thing!
After about a month, I knew something was different so I told everyone.  It felt great to not hide the relationship anymore.  I started looking for jobs back home (I lived in Aiken at the time) and finally got one, moved home and we got engaged in December of 2009.
Anyways, that's mine and Wes's story.  It isn't the best love story but it is my favorite!

Another day of love :)

So Wes and I never really do much for Valentine's Day mainly because we both JUST had birthdays.  We at least try to go on a dinner date or make a point to make a really good dinner at home.  I assumed we would just have a nice dinner at home but Wes said lets go out tonight for V-Day.  We just stayed in town and went to Ruby Tuesday.  Most people wouldn't chose there I doubt, but Wes never wants to go there to I was excited!  We had a great night out just us.  I heart my hubby :)

Oh...did y'all know Ruby Tuesday had these...
Yummy garlic biscuits!  This could be really old news...but I couldnt decide if I wanted Ruby Tuesday or Red Lobster tonight and the only reason I wanted Red Lobster was for these biscuits.  So it worked out perfectly :)

Now for my daily Love Challenge :)

Day Seven
I {LOVE} When I Feel Beautiful/Sexy/Pretty! I Feel This Way When...

What first came to mind is after I spend forever at the salon getting my hair colored, cut and styled at the same place I have been going to for about 15 years!
.

I also feel pretty have I go get this done....
I mean...how does a pedicure not make you feel beautiful!!
I also feel pretty when I have a new outfit!
Whenever I look at my Bridal Portraits...it always puts a smile on my face because isn't your wedding day one of those days when you feel the best about yourself??

Finally, it never fails...whenever Wes takes me out on a "date"...it always makes me feel pretty and loved!

Day Six
I {LOVE} to blog because...

Even though I am still fairly new to blogging, I already love it.  It is my time during the day that I can write about anything I want :)

I know I do a lot of post like these challenges and themes but I love them! You can still write what you want to write about.

I love "meeting" new people on here and hope to meet more people I can share things with!  I love sharing home decorations, stories and recipes!

What I think I love the best about blogging is something that doesn't have anything to do with actually writing.  One of my bffs, Heather, has had a blog forever and for a while that was about the only way I knew what she was up too.  I know a lot of people have this issue, you both get married, get involved in your individual lives and phone calls and "dates" spread out more and more.  It was no one's fault...I think it was only about a month we didn't talk as much.  I finally started my blog and we started talking like everyday about getting my blog started and just catching up.  Now we are back to our normal - Jami and Heth friendship and I am so happy :)

See even though this was a blog challenge and I was still able to post something I have been thinking a lot about lately....and that is what I love blogging! :)
