First off, I dont want to come across as complaining about being pregnant because this is what I have been wanting forever. I am so grateful that I am pregnant but I still have to complain a little so I figured this would be a great place to vent right??
I am only 13 weeks pregnant and I am ALREADY losing sleep. I didnt think that would happen for a while. I am a person who likes 8-9 hours each night and I know that was going to end soon but not this soon. I go to sleep around 10 every night (sometimes I fall asleep before that on the couch..usually nights I have something I really want to watch on TV and miss it) and sleep until 3 or 4. Then I have to get up to use this restroom. I did that all the time pre-pregnancy so I am used to that, but now I lay away until about 5 or 5:30 so uncomfortable. Once I finally fall asleep Wes's alarm goes off and I am awake again. Then I go back to sleep then its time for me to get up. So I feel like I wake up at 3 or 4 each morning.
I dont even have a baby belly yet (ok maybe a little one) but I believe I need a pregnancy pillow. I love to sleep on my stomach and my side and I just cant do that any more.
Ok...sorry about complaining the whole time...I know I will not have sleep for the next few years. Does anyone use the pregnancy pillows? I have seen a couple different shaped one...but I have no clue which is better and I only want to purchase one. Any advice??
Hope everyone is having a great Thursday! :)
I just used a regular body pillow. I would wedge it under my belly a bit and put my leg over it while sleeping on my side. Side sleeping is the recommended way of sleeping to keep circulation to baby best...specifically your left side is best! Back sleeping is not recommended...I never slept on my back before pregnancy but I got to where I wish I could just because I wasn't allowed to! Haha.
ReplyDeleteI was miserable like you are until I bought the Snoogle- I swear that thing is a lifesaver! I'm now almost 32 weeks and still using it. I admit it's gone a little flat where my head lays, but it's wonderful.
