Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Aunt JoJo!  This may be the first year ever that it is actually cold on your birthday!! Very unusual for May 4th in South Carolina!

We have a fun day planned with Jodi today.  We heading over to her house this morning and walking across the street to the park for her best friend's twin girls birthday party.  Then having lunch with Jodi and hanging out for a bit.  It is so nice to have Jodi back home!

We are lucky to have Jodi as a sister and aunt!  She has put our family through some crazy stuff and I am still not sure why we had to go through all of it, but I know there is a reason for everything!  Maybe her illness made her realize she wanted to change her life up a bit and move home close to family?  Who knows...but we sure are glad shes here!

She is lucky (I guess??) to have two birthdays every year to celebrate.  One today and then in August for her re-birthday!  How neat :)
Anyways, Happy Birthday Jodi.  We love you and excited about spending the day with you!

I'm Addicted

To my DVR!  How sad is that?  I look forward to every Sunday afternoon where I go through and tape all my shows for the week.  I can't just set them to record the new episodes because Wes will go in a record some show he wants to watch not knowing that I have a very important BRAVO show set to record at the same time.  Since BRAVO likes to air the show at odd times during the night, I record it then.

Can you believe I am writing about something other than Paige??  Crazy I know!

I record several shows for the week and I honestly do not know when I find the time to watch them.  My favorites are: Real Housewives (all of them except Atlanta and Miami), Watch What Happens Live, random Bravo shows, Ellen...of course!!, Nashville, Revenge, Duck Dynasty, Army Wives and Client List.  I usually watch some in the mornings before work while I pump and before Paige wakes up.  I have a little time at lunch and that is really it because Wes has the remote at night.  I usually catch up on weekends when Paige is napping.

It is really a sad addiction I know...but I cant help it.  I think if I didn't get BRAVO, I wouldn't be in this situation.  I mean how can you not love those crazy women!

Hopefully I am not the only one that looks forward to setting their DVRs for the week. It is my guilty pleasure and I'm ok with that!  Before long I will have to cut off these shows and just have cartoons on when Paige is around..so I might as well enjoy it while I can!

Baby Essentials

One of my favorite things that other Mama bloggers write about are their baby essentials.  I told my self that I would write about our essentials, but I haven't done that since Paige was like a month old.  I wrote about her Newborn Essentials and it is time I update that a bit!

So the following things are our essentials for Paige right now..around 5-7 months old!

There are a couple things we listed on the first list that are still very very helpful.
I still love the bottle warmer.  It helps out so much and so fast.  The only downfall now is that Paige knows what the beeping sound means and she freaks out when she hears it!  So we have to run to get the bottle sometimes.
I swear the Nap Nanny is the best invention ever...even if they are recalled.  Paige loves sleeping in here and when she is teething and miserable like she was the other night, she loved just relaxing here!

Speaking of teething, these have been a life savor!
Bath toys and bathes in general.  She hates sitting in the baby bath tubs anymore because she can not move around as much, so having toys in there keeps in entertained!

Toys, Toys, and more Toys!! Both toys for inside and outside.  She loves to keep busy.  The only time she sits is when she is in her swing or her wagon.  She will sit on the floor for ever just playing!

Nuk pacifiers.  Luckily Paige doesn't need a paci all the time.  Really just at nap times and night.  Late evening she likes to have one as well.
Yay for high chairs!  We love ours and it makes our life so much easier.  Miss P loves sitting up so I will put her in hers with lots of toys to keep her entertained while I cook, wash dishes, and eat supper.  I think it makes her feel like a big girl.  She has her sippy cup, some puffs or other snacks as well!  The chair makes feeding her so much easier too.  We make her (she loves it, so not really making her do it) sit there while we eat all the time so she will learn to sit a the table...well I hope anyways! :)

Those are a few of our essential items the past few months!
