WILW

I'm Loving... Sharpie pens!  I absolutely love them.  I have several different kinds and when I was meeting with a leader last week for work, we were talking about our mutual love of sharpie pens.  Well, we had our monthly leader meeting last night and she bought me a new kind of pen that I have never seen before! So fun to know someone else that appreciates Sharpies!

I'm Loving...Dancing with the Stars! I have watched every season and I just love it.
I mean Makism isn't bad to look at right??  He isn't the only reason I watch.  I always DVR them and watch on my lunch breaks or whenever Wes goes to bed.  That is one show he will not watch with me!  Here are my favorites so far this season:
Rob may not be the best dancer....but I am a fan!

I kinda surprised myself when I started rooting for Kristin!

This guy has to be my favorite...I heart Carson!!
I'm Loving... that Heather and I are hanging out all weekend.  Like she said over at her blog today, this is the first time we will hang out for this long of a time period since we lived together!  I am heading to her house Friday night and we are going to leave bright at early (6:30! May be a bit early but oh well) and head to Virginia.  I personally think it is funny that Heather usually does not attend home games (10 miles from her house) but she is driving 4-5 hours to go to the game this weekend! I cant wait!!

I'm Loving... the fall! I have been slack and have yet to decorate my house for fall.  That is my goal in the next week.  I absolutely love my fall wreath for my front door.  I put pumpkins on our mantel, and just love the scents of fall too!!  So excited for a new season...this summer was HOT! :)
how cute is this?? This may need to be a craft project one night??

I'm Loving...that today is day 51!! That means that Jodi and mom will be coming home in about 50 days!! That may seem like a lot to you guys, but seeing how they have been in Texas since April 21st...50 days is nothing!  Jodi is also feeling so great these days...she even told me the other day she felt like pre-leukemia Jodi! yay :)

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

My Tailgate!

I finally did it! I actually took pictures of the food we made for the tailgate to share with you!  I love getting ready for football Saturdays and trying new recipes but I have to admit...I am kind of glad there is an away game this week!  Heather, Ray and I will be going to Virginia for the game, but I don't have to worry about cooking lots of items for a tailgate this week! :)

Chicken Salad on Croissants

Cant remember the name...cheese/rice krispie crackers

Best Dip ever!  Also good for left overs and pretty healthy too!

Sausage Balls

Vegetable Ball

Veggie Ball on game day covered in pecans
Saving the best for last...my football helmet cake!!

The cake isn't burnt, it had fudge in the batter :)

Clemson Football Helmet Cake!

I also made deviled eggs again but I forgot to take a picture of that! I am looking forward to going home at lunch and having some leftover dip!

Since I am talking about the football tailgate...I have to share a little about the game.  I was invited to go on the field and be represented with some other IPTAY reps.  Isn't that exciting?? Well, I thought it was.  We were on the field right before the game started...I loved it :)

THen it was game time and what an exciting game it was!  We beat FSU at home again!! This week we travel to Blacksburg, VA to take on number 10 Virginia Tech!! I cant wait to go with Ray and Heather!!

What a great weekend!!

I can not believe it is already Monday...I think I say that every Monday!! Time just goes by so fast, hard to keep up! :)
Miscellany Monday @ lowercase letters

1.  Food:  I had a great weekend! Friday night I cooked and cooked to get ready for the tail gate.  Sarah comes over every Friday night to prepare for the game on Saturday.  This is what we prepared this week:
Sausage Balls
Sausage and Cheese biscuits
Lemon Squares
Deviled Eggs
Taco Dip
Of course I was thinking I would take pictures of all the goodies each week so I could share with you...and I always forget.  But I did take a picture of the yummy lemon squares :)

2. Victory:   I have been waiting for Saturday for about a year now.  I have always liked Auburn so when I saw a few years ago that we would travel to Auburn and they would come to Death Valley..I was pumped. Last years game in Auburn was amazing and heart breaking all in one.  So I was ready for some payback for my tigers!  The first quarter was AWFUL.  I was sitting there thinking...this will be a long game.  But Dabo and the other coaches got everything fixed and my tigers showed up.  I havent heard our stadium that loud in so long.  The atmosphere was amazing!  I saw the Tiger holding this sign during the game and loved it...
 You want to hear how loud it really was....look at this video after our defense intercepted Auburn!
I could go on and on about the game but I will stop!  We have another HUGE game this weekend.  ACC opener against FSU!

3. Friends  I got to see some of my favorite people on Saturday and unfortuantly I have zero pictures to prove it. (Julie will be sending me some soon :))  Alix and her family came from Texas, Julie from Tennessee, some great friends from Greenwood that I never see Matt and Kristal were there, and I met a fellow blogger! This was the first meeting with a blogger friend and it felt like we have known each other for a while.  Aubrey
has been very supportive of me and my sister through Jodi's whole process and she even bought a couple "Rockstar Shirts".  So we met up in Clemson on Saturday so I could get her the shirts.
4. Nephews:  Sunday morning Wes and I headed over to his parents house to see my favorite two boys...Wyatt and Matthew!  Of course I took Matthew over and feed him and just held him...I love babies :)

Trying to figure out who Aunt Jami is

Wyatt wasnt feeling that great but still managed to talk Wes into taking him around on the 4-wheeler.  We had lunch and then headed back home.  We had a very lazy rest of the day, Wes slept like 2 hours and I worked on a puzzle and cleaned the house.  We went out for Japanesse for dinner..YUM!

We had a great weekend with great weather and cant wait for another fun weekend!!

WILW

I am so excited that today is Wednesday...We are half way through the week, so head on over to link up with Jamie!!

I'm Loving... this great find on pintrest.
Pizza Dip! I decided to make this for the tailgate this past weekend and it was so yummy.  Of course I had to make a "Clemson touch"
 I forgot to take a picture after it was baked but isnt the tiger paw cute :)

I'm Loving... my Dad's football buddy
Alexis has to be the cutest little girl ever!  She is always cheering and singing to the Tiger Rag.  See all those silly bands? Those would be from my Dad :)

I'm Loving... all of my goodies I found at Cake Decor yesterday. You know how I told you about the store closing?  Well I bought $200 worth of stuff for about $50! Of course I am going back on Friday (their last day) because everything will be like 70-80% off!  So I will have to see what is left!
Everything!
My new cake pans...I can make tiered cakes now!
Super big cupcake mold
Football Helmet...will put this to use soon!
cant wait to use this at Christmas!
My "tackle Box" as Wes calls it.  I bought just the box yesterday and now have a place to keep everything organized!!

I'm Loving...that we heard back from Jodi's bone marrow test she had last week.  100% of her cells were mine!!! That means there was ZERO trace of leukemia and the transplant worked!! How exciting is that??  Now if we can just get her over all the nasty side effects and get back to normal! :)

Happy Wednesday!!

Mondays come too fast...

Miscellany Monday @
lowercase letters

1. Zicam: What is the worst way to start out a new week?? Feeling sick!  Of course when you are twenty-something married female and you tell someone you dont feel that great and tired so many people say...are you pregnant?? Does that get on any one else's nerves?  No, I am not pregnant but I was around 30 little kids last week for the first time in a while..so that means I always get sick.  Got to love cute little kids and their germs right??  I could tell yesterday that I was about to get sick.  I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose, my throat a little sore and just not feeling great.  I am trying out Zicam to see if that will help!

2. Cake Decor: You all know that I love decorating cakes after I took a class at a little store in town called Cake Decor.  Well, they posted on facebook that they are closing on this Friday.  So their inventory is 30-70% plus if you were one of their students you get an additional 10% off.  I am so sad they are closing because I would much rather shop for items there than Wal-Mart but I have to admit I am super pumped to go shopping when they open tomorrow!! Got to stock up!!
3. New Stores:  Since I just told you about a store closing...guess what is coming to Greenwood? TJ Maxx, Michael's and a Hobby Lobby!!  I think that may be another reason why Cake Decor closed since Michaels and HL are opening in the next couple of weeks.  Greenwood is known for having NOWHERE to shop so I am excited to have some options, but I hate to see small businesses close up. So I have mixed feelings!  Since Hobby Lobby has my cake supplies I will still not have to go to Wal-Mart...I hate Wal Mart!

4. Big Weekend: Of course it is football related.  Clemson plays Auburn this weekend and I can not wait.  I am very excited about our first big game of the season and also excited to see some of my favorite people!!  Cant wait for our little tennis reunion!! :)

5. Never to early:  So Jodi has about 2 months left in Texas before she can come back to SC!! YAY!  That being said..its time to start planning a welcome home party.  I am writing it on her because it will not be a secret to her...I just will not be details about it until afterwards.  Right now we have to decided on a date and location.  I CAN NOT WAIT until my family is back in SC!!  (Sidenote: she will get her results for her bone marrow biopsy this week...I know we will hear wonderful news that the transplant worked!! fingers and toes are crossed!!)
My family! This was almost a year ago after a 5k.

 Hope everyone has a great Monday!!!

Where were you??

I can remember September 11, 2001 like it was yesterday.  I was a freshman in college, now that seems crazy that was 10 years ago!  I was in my biology lab and working on a project when my biology professor came running in our class saying that NYC was under attack!  Our lab instructor told us that we needed to finish our project but one guy went running out of the class.  His Dad worked at the World Trade Center.  I believe that his father may have died that day, because that guy never came back to class that semester.  We finished our lab and everyone rushed to their dorms.  My roommate Beth was there with the news on glued to the tv.  I dont think we moved the rest of the day, we watched reports ALL day.  We couldnt take our eyes off the tv!!
Clemson of course didnt cancel classes that day, it was the teachers choice, but I think all the teachers cancelled.  That weekend all college football games were cancelled and just about everyone on campus went home to be with their families.  I also remember going to my church with my Mom that weekend.  It was a very somber day. No one really knew what to think or say.  I remember that was one of the first times I saw my Mom cry.  She teared up during part of the sermon and that was the moment I really started to worry about the USA's future.  Isnt it weird that that was when it really clicked? I mean, I knew it was very bad what happened, but me being a naive 18 year old maybe I thought that 9/11 would be it?  Maybe I didnt realize that it meant war, I think I had to have known it would be a war?  Who knows?? I just know that I felt different about it all when I saw my Mom that day!

So, where were you on 9/11??

Guess What?!?!

I have a new blog design! Do you like it? I am so excited about my new page!  (Make sure to scroll all the way to the footer too.) I have been working with Tricia at Tricia Nae Designs for a little while and she made everything just like I wanted..plus a little  more.  So if you ever want someone to work on a design for you..check her out!

Also, this has nothing to do with my new design but while I am writing I thought I would ask for a request.  Jodi had her bone marrow biopsy done yesterday.  This is the first one since her transplant and it will show if she has any trace of leukemia in her blood.  She should find out the results today while she is at the clinic so just say a few extra prayers that we hear great news and her new stem cells are working!! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! It is another home game at Clemson, cant wait!!

Top 5: TV Shows

I was pretty excited when I saw that Kristen from Joyful Ramblings is hosting a new link up...so of course I had to find some time and squeeze this post in today :)
Here are my top five TV shows:

{five}
Yes, I realize I may be the only person that still watches this show...but I love it and look forward to the new season!!

{four}
Of course I am a sucker for this show.  Before each season, I try to convince myself that I will not watch it but I always get hooked.  I wasn't a fan of Ashley last season yet I still watched every second...

{three}
I swear The Office has to be one of the funniest shows EVER!  I have to admit that I didn't start watching this show until last year.  It came on the same time as Greys Anatomy so I always missed it.  I watched all the seasons on Netflix and I am OBSESSED.  A minute doesn't go by when I am not laughing.  I haven't watched last season yet...but once it is on netflix. I will watch them all!

{two}
Ok...maybe I should have put Grey's on the list too since I am about to talk about that show for the second, but it really isn't in my top anymore.  I still like it and watch it but if I miss it, I really don't care.  BUT I love Private Practice!  Even Wes will watch it with me, but he really only watches it to see Kate Walsh's legs.  They really like to show them off.  I cant really blame him...she does have nice legs! Ha ha  Anyways, I love this show!

{one}
Ahhh...Modern Family! This is one funny show.  I look forward to every Wednesday night so that I can watch it.  I love every single character and it is hard for me to pick a favorite...as I type this a try to name a couple that I love and all of them come to mind.  If you have never seen this show...you HAVE to try it out!
