Thanksgiving

I guess since Thanksgiving was almost a week ago it is finally time for my to recap our Thanksgiving Holiday right?  I left work early on Wednesday and spend the afternoon playing with Miss Paige and relaxing.  It was a very low key day/night for us.  Thursday morning, we went over to Mimi's for breakfast.  Emily and the boys were in town for most of the week so we were able to have a lot of cousin time which was wonderful!

We spent all day Thursday over at Mimi's with lots and lots of food!  Wes had to help a friend out with his hot water heater that decided to break while they were spending this week at their cabin.  He made it back right before lunch!  Mimi had a good breakfast, snacks and of course everything you can think of for Thanksgiving Dinner.

After lunch, Wes took Wyatt and Lemmy out for a hunting trip in the back yard.  I think they had a great time....

Wyatt was so proud of his catch but man is that not gross or what??  I love that Lemmy is so excited to go hunting!  That is why Wes wanted a beagle so he could take her hunting for small game.
Thankfully Paige was more impressed with Jack than the squirrels...
After that fun adventure, I took Paige home for a nap and Wes went back to the farm to hunt with the Carey's.  Thursday evening, we went back to Tommi's and had leftovers and had more fun cousin time.

Friday Paige and I picked up Tommie and Emily and went to a few stores for Tommie.  She had a few things she wanted to exchange and pick up.  We spent all morning shopping and ended with lunch at McAlister's Deli.  I believe Paige is a huge fan of that place...who knew??  After lunch we headed up for nap time.  We had family over on Friday at Tommie's for some yummy low country boil and a bon fire outside!

Saturday Paige and I stayed home ALL day long and it was great! Jodi and Alyssa came over with breakfast and helped me get all my Christmas decorations down from the attack and then even helped me clean up and decorate!  I love love love my decorations and love Christmas even more! We got everything finished except for the tree.  Once that is up and decorated I will share all our decorations!

Later that evening, it was time for our big rivarly game.  Clemson for USC.  I have a love hate realtionship with this game.  I love football but I hate the negative aspects of this game.  But what I hate most of all is that USC has bragging rights for yet another year.  Oh well, that awful game is over and I am so thankful I am a tiger fan!

Sunday morning, we headed back over to Mimi's for breakfast with the cousins!

We played all morning until it was time for them to leave to head back to North Carolina, so we went home for nap time!  Later that evening, Paige and I went to visit Mema, BB and Boompa!

We had a great Thanksgiving!

10 Things About Me

Have you all seen this going around on Facebook?  I have been debating for a while if I wanted to participate or not, and this morning I caved in.  So I figured I would share on here as well.  Here are 10 things you may or may not have known about me...
1. Wes and I both grew up in the same town, same age, same grade and a lot of the same friends but we didn't meet each other until we were almost 22.

2. I received a rejection letter from Clemson and it broke my heart, but everything happens for a reason and I was accepted into a summer program for people from S.C. who didn't get accepted (had to be Agriculture major so I changed my major for that reason) and only 20ish people were accepted. So I just got to start my college experience 6 weeks early and I am SO glad I did...I met some of my favorite people in the STEP program!

3. I am far from being an athlete, but I was on athletic scholarship at Clemson and lettered! I was an equipment manager for women's tennis and all managers were considered "athletes" (they are paid hourly now) and we registered for classes early, on scholarship (received money for food and housing two years), had all the perks athletes have! I have a Clemson Letterman's jacket too!

4. I lost two friends in college in a small plan crash and was involved in a horrible car accident with the tennis team and I think about those two events often...

5. I wish I had a group of girlfriends in Greenwood. All of my close friends are all around the nation...and Barbados. I miss having a group of girls to hang out with!
That being said...I need to get better with seeing and talking to my friends more!

6. I was an organ donor (ok most of you know that but I am pretty proud of it). I donated stem cells to save Jodi's life. The day she was diagnosed she told me that I was going to save her life (we knew the chances were slim that I would be a match) but ever since she told me that, I knew it was going to work out...I mean it had to right?

7. I like to joke around with Jodi about #6...I have to make light of the situation you know. Whenever she has an update from a doctor..I just say "you are welcome".

8. I am an animal lover but I HATE all the dog/animal things on Facebook.

9. I am so excited to be able to relive my childhood through Paige. I cant wait to see what her interests are. I hated dance when I was younger, but I cant wait to see if Paige will like it...I really hope she does!

10. I still get excited to see Wes everyday when we get home from work and I hope that never changes. That being said...I do love those nights when he hunts or something and I have the house to myself (plus Paige and Lemmy).

Our Newest Addition

Ever since we lost my sweet puppy Gracie, Wes and I knew we wanted to get another dog.  I thought it would be a while before we got another one because we just don't have a great place to keep a dog outside and I love big dogs.  Wes found a dog that he wanted so bad on Craigslist and he talked about getting this dog for a couple weeks.
I still wasn't sure, I mean I was truly excited to get a dog, but I was still missing my Gracie and I didn't just want a replacement...you know? Plus I knew how hard having a puppy can be, especially with a baby/toddler!

Sunday morning, we all went to Lowe's to get Wes a new flashlight and Paige loves riding in the buggy so we just walked down some aisles looking.  We walked down the dog aisle and I made a comment about how depressing it is to walk down this aisle and Wes said...well, lets get a dog.  I looked at him to see if he was joking but he wasn't.  He saved the number to the people on Craigslist and texted them to see if they still had the dog he wanted.  They did, so we loaded up and headed to Spartanburg to pick up our new baby!

So I would like to introduce to you...our new Lemon Beagle....Lemmy!

Of course, I feel in love immediately...we all did really!  She is so sweet and loves to cuddle but what she loves most in this world is Paige!  She follows her around everywhere and Paige does the same.  It really will be fun to watch the two of them grow up together!  Here are some of my favorite pictures of Lemmy (and Paige of course)
And my favorite picture of all..

Trick-or-Treat

Trick-or-Treat...smell my feet...give me something good to eat...

How many of you sang this last night?? My hubby did..A LOT!  We had a great time last night for Paige's first time trick-or-treating.  We just went to grandparent's houses last night since Paige doesn't really eat candy anyway, we could get away with just doing that this year.

I was so excited about her costume that when I bought it, I didn't even think about how she hates to have stuff on her head...opps...

That is nothing a paci and photo shoot outside wouldn't cure...

But she still wasn't so sure about the head piece...

What a cute piggy

Pictures with Daddy

and Mama..

Enough pictures Mama and Daddy..it is time to go!

We went to Mimi's, Mema's, Gerri and Gene's and then BB and Boompa's.  She got lots of treats, like yogurt bites, cookies, and puffs!

Wow so sorry for picture overload but it is hard to just pick a few!  What a fun day it was and I am so in love with my little piggy!

Happy Halloween!

I love Halloween!  I love it even more now since we have sweet Paige!  It is such a fun day and I love seeing pictures of all the kids in their cute costumes.  I am not going to lie...I didn't like Halloween when I was in college!  I hated how girls had to make it sexy.  But now since I have a child, I love Halloween again!

I will be back tomorrow for pictures of Paige in her Halloween costume of course!  But today, I wanted to share what Paige gave her teachers at school...

I saw this on a friend's instagram and had to copy! I thought they were so cute and since I am not the most crafty person..EASY!  Her teachers loved it this morning!

One last picture...her is Paige in her festive Halloween pants!

I cant wait to take her in a dark room this afternoon to let her see her shirt glow in the dark!

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!
