This Weekend..

This weekend, I left work a little early on Friday and spend some time with Miss P. (I had to work on Saturday)  We just hung around the house until Daddy got off of work.  We must have been lazy Friday night because I honestly do not remember what we did!

This weekend, I had to work at a Girl Scout Cookie Rally.  I really didn't have to do too much since I have some awesome volunteers running the programs, but I just had to be there.  Since I didn't have a "job" at the event, I took Paige.  She of course started getting tired once the girls got there.  She took a nap with about 30 K5-1st graders running around..then when they went to their sessions and it was super quiet, Paige woke up...makes sense huh?

This weekend, the three of us headed to our friend's house for a huge Christmas Tree burn. They work a lot with Young Life and have this event each year. I believe there were like 200+ trees! Here are some pictures from that night...Since it was pretty chilly we tried out a new jacket thing for Miss P...reminded us of the kid on Christmas Story.

Paige loved it!

This pictures are hard to see how big it really was!  It was a ton of trees :)

This weekend, we went to church for the first time in forever.  Even though Paige went to the nursery at church, I had to dress her up in her Sunday best!

This weekend, Miss P was rolling around like crazy!! The minute we laid her down somewhere she was gone in a heartbeat!  She loves rolling over :)

This weekend,  Paige and I had a movie day on Sunday.  Wes was there for part of it.  We watched the new Planet of the Apes (Wes picked that one but it was much better than I though), Campaign with Will Ferrell and What to Expect When Expecting.  I loved it and could relate to one of the mom's so much.  It was funny because it brought back so many memories, some that which I want to forget!  I could relate to this mama the best:
And since I seemed to be so uncomfortable the whole pregnancy and Heather didn't seem to have that issue (for the most part) I thought about her when I saw this character:
Ok..the quote isn't why I thought of Heather but this was the only picture I found!
This weekend, was wonderful but since I had to work, it went by WAY too fast!! Let's hope the hours that I am at work goes by as fast as my time off goes!

I MADE IT!!

Paige I survived the first week of school!  I have been dreading sending Paige to day care ever since Wes and I looked at our money and saw there was absolutely no way I could stay home with her.  The thought of day cares terrified me to no end.  I went and looked at them and just wasn't impressed with even the best in town.  There were SO many babies compared to adults.  So I decided to look at the church schools but they are only half a day.  I secured a spot for Miss P at a local church and would worry about the afternoons later on.

Well she couldn't begin school until January and Wednesday was her first day.  She goes from 830-12 and there are only THREE other babies (all girls) in her classroom with two, sometimes three, adults.  How awesome is that???  I pick her up at lunch and spend my lunch break with her and Gerri comes to our house to keep her in the afternoons.  Man are we lucky with this set up...best option besides me keeping her!

Every day when I pick her up, her teacher tells me all about what see did.  She goes for rides in the cart, looks at books, watches the older kids sing, plays on her mat and other toys and finally took a nap today.  For some reason she hasn't napped until today...makes for one tired Miss P!

Wes asks everyday if she got a good report from her teachers...its pretty cute!  I am just glad I survived the first week...Wednesday was a tough one! :)

This was Miss P on the first day of school:

This was her today...worn out baby girl:

Even though we love her teachers and school...I sure am glad it is FRIDAY!

WILW

So I had a bit of a sad morning so when I realized it was Wednesday (first day back at work in a couple weeks and thought it was Monday) I figured I needed to do this post with some happy thoughts!

I'm Loving...that I got to spend New Year's Eve with my hubby and baby girl!  Wes was at a friends for a little while helping him do some things but came home and hung out with us.  Even though when the ball dropped I was the only one still awake...Wes sleeping in recliner, Paige sleeping in crib and Gracie sleeping on her blanket...it was the perfect NYE!

I'm Loving...my Clemson Tigers.  I mean I always love them win or lose but man did they play their hearts out against LSU!  What a BIG win..so proud to be a Tiger!

I'm Loving... that I was off from work for about 2 weeks and got to spend every minute with this sweet girl!

I'm Loving...that Miss P has some sweet ladies taking care of her in the mornings now.  (This is why I was sad)  I dropped her off for her first day of "school".  She goes to a church "school" from 830-12 and there are only 3 other babies with her with two adults.  I know we are very lucky to have her go to a place like that and then family take care of her in the afternoons...BUT it still isn't me.  Maybe one day I will be able to grasp that it isn't me.  Why oh why cant we afford it :)  Oh well, to look at it positively...look at what her teacher sent me this morning
I'm Loving...that is a three day work week!  I do have an event on Saturday but Miss P is going with me to see her favorite Girl Scout leaders...so it isn't really like work :)

Happy Wednesday!!
